EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER

PROGRAM INFORMATION

The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course is an 80 hour classroom-only, Instructor-led, skills-based program that introduces students to the concepts of prehospital medicine. EMR is ideal for firefighters, police officers, industry workers, lifeguards, or any other individual that may be on the scene of an emergency before more trained EMS professionals arrive. Areas of study include, but are not limited to: basic human anatomy, airway management, CPR/AED resuscitation, and management of medical and traumatic emergencies.

This program is the perfect fit for someone looking for medical training who does not have the time to go through a longer, more formal EMS program. Upon successful completion of the class, eligible students will sit for the State of Indiana Emergency Medical Responder written and practical skills examinations for certification.
